I have been working in the Long Term Care industry for over 17 years. Many of these years working with individuals needing to find placement in a community setting. The biggest barrier to many of these discharges have been finding appropriate housing for someone who has Medicaid. I was delighted to find Bronxwood Assisted Living. It’s a stone’s throw from the clientele I work with. Not only do they have a beautiful facility, but their staff is so friendly and warm. Walking through the doors for my 1st tour, I was blown away. I felt as though I was walking in to my home and being greeted by family. The admission process is also not too complicated. Many times communities make the nursing home social workers jump through hoops in order to get an admission. Working with Diana and her staff is a dream. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire admission process. Looking forward to working with the Bronxwood team for years to come! – Lori G. Director of Social Services

Good afternoon, I am writing this testimonial to express my gratitude towards Bronxwood Assisted Living Facility and all their staff. From the beginning of the process Ms. Velez walked me through step by step to help me get my client in to the facility. They offered us a tour of the facility and explained to us how the facility works and how it was run to make sure my client was on board and comfortable with the living arrangements. The facility is extremely comfortable and offers all services any person who needs assisted living may need but leaves then room to feel independent and not like a patient. When you walk through the doors it feels more like arriving home than entering an institution. THANK YOU BRONXWOOD!
I have been living here for over 6 months and it has been so wonderful. Starting with the Director of Case Management Judy Wayne. She was very kind, sweet and presented the facility with such love. Then I met Diana Velez and Robert Morales who have been like angels to me. They are always so helpful with all of my needs. I have had different situations come up but they are always well resolved. One of the most wonderful parts of coming to live at Bronxwood Assisted Living has been reuniting with my longtime friend and schoolmate Diana R. We were together in an institution for teaching back in my country Dominican Republic about 50 years ago. So when I saw her here I was so happy to see her again. We are now close and together again. I would like to thank all of the staff at Bronxwood for all their hard work, creativity and dedication to myself and all of the residents.
